Common Goods 2024 Report
On Saturday, October 6, the Records Fair brought together over 20 exhibitors from 10am for a day dedicated to vinyl enthusiasts at Heat. Despite a brief shower early in the morning, the sun soon came out, attracting many visitors to the market. We were delighted to welcome a number of Lyon-based shops, including Sofa Records, Unité Centrale, Onigiri, Groovedge, The Sound of Music, Tibo Vinyl…. This year, Swiss label Bongo Joe joined us, along Pâturage and Marseille-based Requiem Records. Finally, record sellers Levy Valensy, Le Discopathe from Montpellier, Galette Records from Marseille were on hand to offer a wide selection of reggae, dub and hiphop.
The atmosphere was convivial, with a funky musical selection provided by exhibitors including Souladybug for Holywax Records, or local dj Rochdee for Dr Lloyd's Discs. In the Labo, the We Play Vinyl team offered an introductory vinyl mixing workshop for beginners. Lyon-based photographer Noémie Lacote immortalized the highlights of the event, which we are delighted to share with you today. Thanks again to her for her work. We'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Heat and his team for their warm welcome, as well as Tiphaine Voix, the graphic designer in charge of communications for this year's event.
The organizing team is now looking ahead to 2025, and is already preparing an edition full of surprises. Stay tuned!
